In the building industry the rule of thumb for budget pricing is measured on a ‘per square foot basis’ in order to provide a reasonably accurate budget price for your home. It is of the utmost importance to have a realistic perspective of our customers expectations and to confirm or adjust the projected “Move-in Date” before the project begins.

A few things to keep in mind that will have an impact on the “Move-in Date” are:

• The permit acquisition process (some permits pose substantial delay).
• What needs to be done in order to access the property?
• Do trees, stumps, and brush need to be cleared before commencing?
• Are there any structures to be removed before starting to build?
• Does a well need to be drilled first?
• Does fill need to be imported?
• Will a septic system need to be designed?
• The size and complexity of the home will also play a factor in determining an accurate “Move-in Date”.
