In 2005 I purchased a Confederation Log Home and was subsequently put in touch with R Moore Homes as a contractor to facilitate the construction at my Beaver Lake property. Right from the get-go, I felt as though Rick Moore was building this house as if it were his own. While I had been intrigued by the model home that Confederation had at their facility, Rick suggested to me that I may want a design that situated the master bedroom with a view of the lake. With Rick’s experience, I was able to modify the Confederation plan to get the desired view.
Through the entire build I received calls from Rick and/or his staff suggesting modifications to the layout inside the structure that would allow the home a more suited flow than what the original plan afforded. I’ve heard dozens of stories about the challenges of building and the amount of work that is required even when dealing with a general contractor. However, I must say this was not the experience I had with R Moore Homes. While I certainly had decisions to make, they sought my approval on modifications, cabinets and fixtures etc, they always came to me with suggestions as to what I should consider thereby taking the workload out of it for me. As I said earlier, I truly felt as though they were treating the build of my home as if it were their own. The quality of the workmanship speaks for itself but I can’t say enough for the quality of the experience I had with Rick and his team.
It has been almost 5 years now and even though the building is long since completed, I can still call to ask a question and receive an immediate response, knowing that they will do whatever they can to assist.
My experience in building with R Moore Homes was fantastic and the continued follow up and relationship I have with the organization gives me complete confidence in recommending them to any person considering a home build.

After having had an addition put on our previous house, we knew that choosing R. Moore Homes to build our new custom home would again be a rewarding experience. Their assistance in the planning and building process made a tremendous difference, making it easy to complete our home on time and within our budget. Hastings Village Marina Management Committee |

When years of fundraising for a project to construct a new marina in the village of Hastings fell short of the capital cost of the project and the village was left with a debt to the Municipality, it fell upon the Marina Management Committee to find a way to raise the funds necessary to repay the debt.
Working with the Municipality to have them finance the construction of three new homes for resale seemed to be the best way to raise the monies needed to pay off our debt.
We researched a number of manufactured home companies and decided to purchase three houses from Guildcrest Homes. We were put in touch with builder R. Moore Homes to assist us with our model selections and price negotiations.
From our first contact with Nathaniel in the sales center who helped us select three different models within our price range, through our cost negotiations with company owner Rick and construction co-ordination with Travis and Glen, the level of customer service, good faith in negotiations, quality of workmanship and on-time delivery all exceeded our expectations.
We managed to sell one of the homes pre-construction, the second shortly after completion and the third we anticipate selling this spring.
The project has been a great success. Our debt with the Municipality will be paid in full, the village will have gained three new families and the Municipality will benefit from three new tax and water revenue streams.
If ever we were to look at raising funds for other village improvements we would not hesitate to undertake something of this magnitude again. The experience and professionalism of the team at R. Moore Homes ensured our experience was as smooth and stress free as possible. We would be happy to recommend them to anyone looking to build a new home.

Dear Sandy & Rick,
 Over the years I have told you many times how we feel about our home in Bobcaygeon. We would be happy to have our home in your portfolio section. One of the reasons we love our home so much is the fact that the complete project went so smoothly and we did not have to deal with any of the "great construction battles" one hears about.
We first met in 1992 boating on Georgian Bay and decided to build a few years later. We handed you a model of our vision for the house (if you remember Lothar built it out of business cards). We knew exactly what we wanted and left the rest to you and your crew.
The house was finished in 1997 and to this day we have no complaints about the quality and workmanship. We were very fortunate to be able to incorporate all of our wants and wishes with you, and since you and Glen are experts we gladly listened to your suggestions and advice.
In closing I would like to also mention that our friendship grew even stronger after the construction of our home was finished, BRAVO!

On November 4th, 1993 our Guildcrest home was delivered. We were pleased with the whole operation. Everything was so well coordinated and it came together without any problems. We are writing to you to express our pleasure with you and your campanies. We decided to build our deram home, and chose to build with the Guildcrest line of modular homes. We researched a variety of builders and types of housing, and concluded that Guildcrest was right for us. After a tour of the factory, we knew that we had made the right decision.
We consulted R.Moore Homes, as they were the local Guildcrest dealer, and were very imnpressed with their knowledge, their helpfulness, and their compassion for their customers. We first dealt with Nathaniel, and his professionalism was evident from the beginning. He assisted us throughout the whole process and was patient and understanding the entire time. A big thanks goes to Rick, Glen and Justin as they made frequent visits to the build site. Every employee at R. Moore Homes is dedicated to customer satisfaction, and it shows.

Building our new home we decided to go the Pre-fabricated home route. We had visited and viewed models from many Pre-fabricated home builders, yet had a hard time finding out exact prices of the home as well as just not having that personal customer service feeling from most. R Moore Homes had a large selection of model homes on their website that we viewed and decided to go into their office to ask some questions. When we arrived at the office we found they had a large assortment of model home plans that we could take with us which also included a complete price list of each model home, unlike some other companies we visited who kept us in the dark with the model home prices. R Moore Homes had excellent customer service from the moment we walked in and focused on what we were looking for and how they could make it happen. It was at that point we decided to make R Moore Homes our choice of builders.
We worked with the floor plan designer giving him a set budget amount to meet our needs. He found a model home design (the Almonte) for us to start off as a base and worked with us continually to create and modify the dream home we were looking for. Many changes were made during the floor plan process, and he had opinions and great suggestions of how to make things work better for us, which we appreciated to the fullest.
It was an exciting time for us to be building our dream home and the floor plan designer stayed in contact with us every step of the way. The home we choose is one of the Energy Star efficient homes that R Moore Homes offers. Once we had agreed on the floor plan all that was left was the home to be delivered.
The house arrived and the floor plan designer as well as the Project Manager and their crew were there with us making sure everything went right. The crew started work immediately once the home was put onto the foundation. Every day from that point on the crew was at our home working to complete it. The Project Manager stayed in contact with us every day keeping us updated with the progress of the completion crew. The Project Manager went in on a daily basis overlooking the crew’s work and addressing any issues that needed to be refined. The crew even went the extra mile hooking up the outside lights for us that we had purchased recently at a hardware store. It’s these little extra’s that make Guildcrest /R Moore homes stand out from the rest of the builders in our books.
Being an Energy Efficient they installed other components in our home (life breath system) which attributed to our home energy savings. Some tests needed to be done for the energy efficiency and our home passed the test with flying colors. We have already noticed a huge difference in our hydro bills as well as the quality of air in our home.
We moved into our home a month prior to the expected completion date. Upon signing off on our new home the Project Manager showed and taught us about all the energy efficient equipment as well as giving us all the manuals and warranties that came with our home. He also went around with us and noted any thing that needed to have a minor repair. His crew came back that following week and completed the minor repairs on his list. They even keep in contact with us on a regular basis now that we are living in the home to ask if there are any area’s of concern with our new home.
We’ve had no issues since living in our home and if we did R Moore homes would be there in an instant to rectify the situation.
We love our new home and how it became exactly what we were looking for. We would certainly refer Guildcrest /R Moore homes to anyone who is thinking of building a Pre –fabricated home. If you are looking for a quality home, with outstanding customer service and excellent workmanship then R Moore Homes is the best choice and the right choice.
