My husband and I searched for years for the perfect home before we stumbled upon R.Moore Homes. We first met with Kevin and Nathaniel and I am not exaggerating when I say everything fell into place perfectly from there. We were so excited to finally have found what we needed and we couldn’t wait to get started.

Everyone we dealt with through the whole process was excellent and when I struggled with decisions and choices, I had a true partner in Holley. We are so grateful and so blessed to have found such a dedicated and close knit team to work with. It really was an excellent experience and we are so happy to have had one on one contact and attention throughout the whole thing.
The process was that much less stressful and much more enjoyable knowing we could reach out and have someone respond and give us feedback about progress and even send pictures too, since we couldn’t always be around. You really went above and beyond.

The quality of their homes as well was the best. We were able to go through and see a home they had built and we could see that they were clearly a company who took pride in their work. Then to see our own home evolve from the ground up was even better. To watch and see all the stages of development and find all of our expectations exceeded was absolutely wonderful!

I contracted with Glen Maidens and Rick Moore of R. Moore Homes in 2008 to build a Confederation Log Home for me on Catchacoma Lake.

I had always loved the look of the homes from the exterior and I had watched them construct a cottage from our prior property on nearby Beaver Lake and thought I would love to have a similar vacation home.

When the right piece of property came available, I met with Rick and Glen and they went through the building process and then we arranged to meet with some design people as well.

They took my rough concept of what I wanted and turned them into great building plans.

We had already had custom homes built for us in Toronto and Collingwood and were familiar with the process and experience and what to look for in a builder.

Rick and Glen did a superb job for us and we continue to receive fantastic feedback on the finished home.

More importantly though, the entire building process went exceptionally well. They stayed within the original budget and timeline even though I made a variety of changes along the way.

The financial details were exact with regular, accurate billings that allowed me to constantly monitor my budget. The best part of the process though was Glen's work as general contractor.

He came up with many new ideas for me along the way and was able to execute the plans to my exact expectations.

His building knowledge helped to make the project better than I could have expected and his follow up work has been excellent. He has always been there to put me back in touch with any of the trades
people that worked on the project and he also was helpful in avoiding unwanted spending.

The trades people that work for R.Moore are clearly dedicated to this builder as there were no time gaps between trades and the workers that I met were good people who really took personal pride in  building this home.

The bottom line for me is that it was and continues to be a totally satisfying building relationship and I have been exceptionally happy with the home. I would not hesitate at all to recommend R. Moore Homes for any building project and give the highest marks possible for Glen as contractor.

I wanted to take an opportunity to write following our positive experience with you and the rest of the team at R. Moore Homes during the build of our custom home in Kirby.  

As you may remember, when Dave & I decided to build a custom home, we met with a number of different builders.  We decided to go with you and R. Moore Homes based on the personalized attention and genuine commitment we received from the very first day we met.  I am happy to report, many months later that we were not disappointed... that personal touch and level of service was consistent throughout every step of the process, from the initial researching all the way through to after care service.  You and the rest of the team always offered your assistance and flexibility, even during the challenges we faced including working with Ganaraska Conservation Authorities and of course with the bank financing.  

During the build process, I always felt you and the team went above & beyond to return my calls and emails promptly and you always accommodated my schedule and availability to arrange meetings at the most convenient times for us including on evenings and weekends.  All of our concerns along the process were always dealt with to our satisfaction.  You were patient with us during the selections and upgrade option appointments (so many options,.... so hard to choose!!) and we really appreciated that.  You all continued to be very accommodating with us when we made a selection, and then changed our minds, again greatly appreciated.    

In addition to the great service, the R. Moore Homes team turned out a quality home and Dave & I look forward to making many memories here in the years to come.

Thank you so much for the wonderful basket of bread, wine, and salt. Great idea! It is such a lovely touch and totally unexpected! We have had 3 homes in our married life and all 3 have been new builds. This is the first time a builder has presented us with a gift to say thank you. We would say that our R.Moore home has surpassed our expectations in a new home! We are very proud of our R.Moore home! We are constantly saying that there are so many little things we just love and know that a great deal of thought has gone into this home to make the difference between a new house and a R.Moore home! Just the other day, I was standing at the sink washing dishes and the heating vent was warming my toes and again, thank you, that is a wonderful touch! When our deck was installed, our neighbors came over, looked up and exclaimed how lovely the pot light was over our garden doors. Over the years I have told you many times how we feel about our home in Bobcaygeon.  We would be happy to have our home in your portfolio section.  One of the reasons we love our home so much is the fact that the complete project went so smoothly and we did not have to deal with any of the "great construction battles" one hears about.

We first met in 1992 boating on Georgian Bay and decided to build a few years later.  We handed you a model of our vision for the house (if you remember Lothar built it out of business cards).  We knew exactly what we wanted and left the rest to you and your crew.

The house was finished in 1997 and to this day we have no complaints about the quality and workmanship.  We were very fortunate to be able to incorporate all of our wants and wishes with you, and since you and Glen are experts we gladly listened to your suggestions and advice.

In closing I would like to also mention that our friendship grew even stronger after the construction of our home was finished, BRAVO!

On November 4th, 1993 our Guildcrest home was delivered. We were pleased with the whole operation. Everything was so well coordinated and it came together without any problems. Building our new home we decided to go the Pre-fabricated home route. We had visited and viewed models from many Pre-fabricated home builders, yet had a hard time finding out exact prices of the home as well as just not having that personal customer service feeling from most. R Moore Homes had a large selection of model homes on their website that we viewed and decided to go into their office to ask some questions. When we arrived at the office we found they had a large assortment of model home plans that we could take with us which also included a complete price list of each model home, unlike some other companies we visited who kept us in the dark with the model home prices. R Moore Homes had excellent customer service from the moment we walked in and focused on what we were looking for and how they could make it happen. It was at that point we decided to make R Moore Homes our choice of builders.

We worked with the floor plan designer giving him a set budget amount to meet our needs. He found a model home design (the Almonte) for us to start off as a base and worked with us continually to create and modify the dream home we were looking for. Many changes were made during the floor plan process, and he had opinions and great suggestions of how to make things work better for us, which we appreciated to the fullest.

It was an exciting time for us to be building our dream home and the floor plan designer stayed in contact with us every step of the way. The home we choose is one of the Energy Star efficient homes that R Moore Homes offers. Once we had agreed on the floor plan all that was left was the home to be delivered.

The house arrived and the floor plan designer as well as the Project Manager and their crew were there with us making sure everything went right. The crew started work immediately once the home was put onto the foundation. Every day from that point on the crew was at our home working to complete it. The Project Manager stayed in contact with us every day keeping us updated with the progress of the completion crew. The Project Manager went in on a daily basis overlooking the crew’s work and addressing any issues that needed to be refined. The crew even went the extra mile hooking up the outside lights for us that we had purchased recently at a hardware store. It’s these little extra’s that make Guildcrest /R Moore homes stand out from the rest of the builders in our books.

Being an Energy Efficient they installed other components in our home (life breath system) which attributed to our home energy savings. Some tests needed to be done for the energy efficiency and our home passed the test with flying colors. We have already noticed a huge difference in our hydro bills as well as the quality of air in our home.

We moved into our home a month prior to the expected completion date. Upon signing off on our new home the Project Manager showed and taught us about all the energy efficient equipment as well as giving us all the manuals and warranties that came with our home. He also went around with us and noted any thing that needed to have a minor repair. His crew came back that following week and completed the minor repairs on his list. They even keep in contact with us on a regular basis now that we are living in the home to ask if there are any area’s of concern with our new home.

We’ve had no issues since living in our home and if we did R Moore homes would be there in an instant to rectify the situation.

We love our new home and how it became exactly what we were looking for. We would certainly refer Guildcrest /R Moore homes to anyone who is thinking of building a Pre –fabricated home. If you are looking for a quality home, with outstanding customer service and excellent workmanship then R Moore Homes is the best choice and the right choice.

We are writing to you to express our pleasure with you and your campanies. We decided to build our deram home, and chose to build with the Guildcrest line of modular homes. We researched a variety of builders and types of housing, and concluded that Guildcrest was right for us. After a tour of the factory, we knew that we had made the right decision.

We consulted R.Moore Homes, as they were the local Guildcrest dealer, and were very imnpressed with their knowledge, their helpfulness, and their compassion for their customers. We first dealt with Nathaniel, and his professionalism was evident from the beginning. He assisted us throughout the whole process and was patient and understanding the entire time. A big thanks goes to Rick, Glen and Justin as they made frequent visits to the build site. Every employee at R. Moore Homes is dedicated to customer satisfaction, and it shows.
